Please can someone help me to hack my 1003 6.31

Hi

I have been doing a lot of searching around forums and theres so much info and different ways to hack different PSP's im not really sure how to go about it

Until this morning i had never even picked up a PSP so i am a complete noob!

I purchased it purely so i could hack it and play some of my backed up PS1 games

Can anyone tell me what i need to do? all i know is i need a bigger memory card lol
My PSP is a Black 1003 model and it is running 6.31

Any help would be greatly appreciated, i need a step by step guide and i have found a few but with different firmware so not sure if that makes a difference?
