Oh, ok. Since this is a LCFW (Light Custom Firmware) it's not permanent. It only stays there if you put your psp on sleep mode, if you completely shut down your psp the cfw is gone.

OH. So all the PROs are LCFWs? What other CFWs are there that will work on 6.39?

Only the 6.35/6.39 PRO cfw's are lcfw
The 6.20 ones are REAL cfw, which means they are permanent (They only work for hackable psp though)

Ok. How does that work? Do I need a downgrader? If possible, I would like to downgrade to 6.20 and use PRO-B8 as a permanent CFW.

Why do you need a permanent one ? You don't have to shut down you PSP to install nitePR !

WAIT, WAIT, WAIT. Before you use 6.20 PRO-B8 Permanent YOUR PSP HAS TO BE A HACKABLE PSP. What I mean is that your psp must be a 1000/2000 and must have a mother board older than TA-88v3. I'll give you the downgrader link once you tell me:
-psp model
-psp motherboard
To tell your psp motherboard, use this homebrew:

It's PSPident, it helps you identify your motherboard and other vital info.

Thanks. I wasn't planning on getting a perm CFW. LCFW is ok. I just can't get nitePR to work... I go to Recovery Menu>Plugins and then it says "nitepr.prx [GAME]" is enabled but when I go on RS the little indicator doesn't show up and home twice and + & - at the same time doesn't work to open it.

Ok. Now can you help me with the NitePR trouble? Here is what happened:
I installed it correctly, put it in "seplugins".
Then I open up my recovery menu and go to "Plugins".
Then "nitepr.prx [GAME]" shows as enabled.
But when I start my RS UMD, the little indicator thingy isn't there and when I press home twice and press + & - at the same time it doesn't work.
WHAT DID I DO WRONG!?!

Ok thanks. Btw, isn't Darkfrost a CFW? And I tried B8, B7, and B6 but NitePR didn't work on any of them. But I know a few people that have PRO CFW and NitePR and it works fine...

DarkFrost is an improved version of nitePR made by Demon. When you'll install it, you'll see everything like nitePR (nitePR.prx, nitePR folder, it will display nitePR in the VSH menu ...)

here:
1. un-zip darkfrost v3 folder
2. you should see "nitepr.prx", and a "nitepr" folder---> this is the folder where you put your cheats
3. put the "nitepr.prx" and "nitepr| folder in your seplugins folder
4. open your "GAME" .txt and put "ms0:/seplugins/nitepr.prx 1
5. check to make sure the nitepr.prx and nitepr folder is in the seplugins folder
6. run a game and press home 2x & +&-
7. darkfrost menu should show
If it STILL doesn't work, tell me again and EXACTLY how you installed it.
